Against this background we have seen an increasing frequency of responsible owners choosing to appoint GP SHIPPING to attend as 'Owners Protecting Agent', or 'Owners Husbandry Agent', or indeed a combination of both, on vessels calling at UK ports under the care of an agent which has been nominated by the charterer.
